California Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice supplements the Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents. It is provided to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA").

2. Sources of personal information
Directly from you; from your browser/device; from consumer reporting agencies (with your authorization); from lenders and lending partners with whom we share your request.
3. Purposes for which we use personal information
- Transmitting your loan request to lenders in our network.
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the service.
- Detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud and security incidents.
- Complying with legal obligations.
- Marketing our services and partner services, subject to your consent where required.
4. Categories of personal information disclosed / sold / shared in the last 12 months
We disclose Categories A, B, D, F, G, I, K, and L to lenders, lending partners, aggregators, ping-tree participants, service providers, and consumer reporting agencies for the business purposes described above. Under the CPRA, transferring information to lenders for cross-context behavioral advertising or for further sale may constitute "selling" or "sharing." You have the right to opt out of such sale or sharing.
5. Categories of sensitive personal information
We collect Category L sensitive personal information (SSN, DL, financial account information) solely to transmit your loan request to lenders. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by Cal. Civ. Code §1798.121, but you have the right to direct us to limit such use.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by category; loan-request records are typically retained for at least the period required under applicable state and federal lending and recordkeeping rules.
7. Your rights as a California resident
- Right to know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared.
- Right to delete the personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. See our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
- Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
8. How to submit a request
Email info@sunrisefinace.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request" and the right(s) you wish to exercise. Or use the form on our Do Not Sell or Share page for opt-out requests.
Verification. To protect your information, we will request that you verify your identity before we process most requests. We may ask for additional information that matches what we already have on file, such as the email address or phone number used to submit your original request. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written permission and verification of identity.
Response time. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days (extendable by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice).
9. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for the device and browser from which the signal is sent.
